Finally… the double-whammy in effect, yo. After “Both-Ways Bob” Beauprez filched the new 7th District in 2002, he immediately set his eyes on the governorship. But not only is he outta the House, he blew the guv race, and now his former seat has gone Democratic as Ed Perlmutter has defeated Rick O’Donnell, projects CNN. Awesome news.
Personally, I was hoping Dave Chandler (G) would make a dent, but a lot was at stake and nervous Dems were not about to let this one get away. Good run at any rate, Dave. Please stick around.
