China: Global netfirms must obey our laws

Google's co-founder feels bad that his company compromised its principles by kowtowing to Chinese net censors.  I bet these guys feel bad too.

Acquiesence to China never ceases to amaze me.  The Chinese government murdered countless civilians protesting for democracy, and yet through constant denial, quasi-Confucian rhetoric, information control, economic prostitution and pocket-stuffing aplenty they scored the 2008 Summer fucking Olympics and the obedience of erstwhile superpowers.  Not even Cheney and Rove, in their wildest, wettest dreams of world domination, could pull off that kind of mass dazzlement.
