I guess some of you hurricaned peeps didn’t read the fine print. FEMA wants its shit back, and stat. From the article: “One student who attended Loyola University in New Orleans used her $2,000 FEMA check, in part, to attend Regis [University] after Katrina.” D’oh. Cough it up, girl.
FEMA for its part says it needs to verify that aid went to the right people, and says the money may not need to be paid back as long as evacuees contact them with proper info.
