Terrell Davis makes semifinal list for NFL Hall of Fame

He’s listed among 25 “coaches, contributors and players,” who’ll be reduced to 15 in January before the final announcement’s made on February 3.

Among other semifinalists: Randy Gradishar, Ray Guy, Lester Hayes, Michael Irvin, Art Monk, Ken Stabler, Thurman Thomas, Gary Zimmerman, all of whom (in my opinon, natch) belong in the Hall.  The rest of the list is excellent, too… not a bad guy in the bunch, with the lone exception of douchebag owner Art Modell.

I was fortunate enough to be at the 1998 game in which Terrell Davis broke 2,000 yards rushing for the season, the same game in which John Elway—the greatest quarterback I ever saw play the game—threw his 300th career TD pass.
