Small world in Afghanistan?

Unless Rahmat Gul is a common name in Afghanistan, I wonder if the Associated Press photographer of the same name at the center of a incident involving U.S. forces is related to someone you all know yet don't know at the same time.

Gul is a press photog who, according to the AP, was ordered by an American soldier Sunday to delete his photos of a shooting in Barakaw, Afghanistan, and allegedly was threatened with violence if he did not comply, which he did.

According to National Geographic, Gul is also the name of the man to whom the famous "Afghan Girl," Sharbat Gula, is married.
