Update: Waxman demands White House explain lack of CIA leak investigation

Pretty extraordinary hearings in Congress today on the CIA leak scandal.  Valerie Plame was the initial star, but then we got an amazing admission from a key White House insider.

James Knodell, the Director of the Office of White House Security, told "shocked" Reps. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) and Henry Waxman (D-CA) that... um... well, watch and be stunned.

The worm's not only turned, methinks, it's taken a huge dump as well.

UPDATE 16 March 2007: Brad Friedman says Waxman's sent a letter to the White House demanding an explanation.  Hot, hot, hot... and of course, dumped on a Friday when no one's watching, or sober.
