Bill Kristol on Ron Paul: He's a crackpot

America's favorite neocon commentator takes a crack at America's favorite quasi-Libertarian presidential candidate. Hey, might as well... everyone else is ripping Paul, as they always do when anyone gets too big for his britches. Kristol is particularly caustic, defending in an oblique manner a war that cost 600,000 American lives (which Paul argues was unnecessary, had slavery been "bought out") by saying that Paul's "fundamental position is anti-American, let's be honest about it. He does not like the United States..."

Props to TheocracyNow for posting the vid.

Dear Fox, you are doing yourself a disservice to ask the opinion of Bill Kristol who has been wrong on just about everything he says. He is incredible and your having him on your show to register an opinion about anything diminishes your credibility even more. Try another approach. Kristol doesn't work. We no longer swallow his misguided rhetoric.

"Scrouge" Bill Kristol, war pimp extraordinaire.

Lets see now, we have Kristrol calling someone a crackpot. Look in the mirror Mr. Bill, and you'll see a true 'crackpot'.

Wow, I can think of no better endorsement of Dr Paul! And of course, Dr Paul is right. Every other country abolished slavery without civil war. That is a great argument from a learned student of history. GO RON PAUL!

Anonymous said...

This is obvious. Bill Kristol is outraged about Paul's position not so much because of why the Civil War was fought, but because it was a war. Like Norman Podhertz, Kristol has never heard of a war he hasn't liked. These people lust war merely for war's sake.

Let's see, in the 19th Century Britain, Portugal, Russia and Brazil eliminated slavery without violence or Civil War. It seems Congressman Paul was right, and the Zionist chickenhawk Kristol historically ignorant.

Doesn't everyone know by know that Kristol is the head of the neo-con movement?

This guy is responsible for spewing the hate and misinformation that has lead us into an idealist quest for American imperialism.

He should be tried for treason and hung in a public square.

I'm sure George III thought Thomas Jefferson was a crackpot too.

Let's see, Dr. Paul believes that the U.S. is bound by the Constitution (which brought this republic into being). He believes that the U.S. should maintain its sovereignty and not seek to be enveloped in a New World Order of a one world government. He believes in the inalienable rights and freedoms of individuals. And, he believes that the U.S. shouldn't be coveting the property (i.e. oil) of other sovereign nations and invading them illegaly since the Constitution is explicit in stating that only Congress has the sole and non-transferrable authority to declare war.

Dr. Paul has more patriotism and more love for the United States in his left pinky than the truly evil Bill Kristol could even dream of lying about. For one of the head neocon talking heads to actually take the time to try and smear this honest patriot, it is a clear indication of what they stand for: the destruction of this republic.

Ron Paul tells the truth.

Everyone here seems to be jumping on the Paul bandwagon. Alright. But hopefully before you all pull that lever you'll do some research. What you find may not be to your liking http://dneiwert.blogspot.com/2007/11/ron-pauls-record-in-congress.html The guy ran for President before but deciding that he was unelectable as a Libertarian he has decided to try to fool people by changing partys to Republican. That's dishonest.

Anonymous said...

You think he's dishonest because he's a true conservative and decided to go back to his roots?

I don't see how a man who served the country/military as a surgeon, who probably sewed up dozens of wounded men, who has spent 18 years serving his country in Congress, who is running for POTUS can be said to hate the country. It's preposterous on its face.

When is Paul going to start challenging these types of comments? Like at the Fox debate when Chris Wallace said would he rather take marching orders from Al Qaeda? Mr. Paul should simply ask "Have you ever taking marching orders from anyone in the military, have you ever served, do you know what it means to serve?" For me as a regular person just sitting there watching this circus, it's such an obvious question that I don't get it.

Like when Hannity asked Paul if he was okay with letting Saddam harm his own people and that Hannity couldn't live with that, then the most logical question is" Well why didn't you serve if you feel so strongly about it?

Much as I agree with several of the things Ron Paul says (not all though), both he and Russert seem unaware that the Civil War was not fought to end slavery, for the North, it was to keep the country from breaking up. Ending slavery became and obvious necessity as the war went on. Most of the North believed that slavery would end in time, if contained. I'm also dismayed to find that both Paul and Russert are apparently unaware that Lincoln wanted for the government to purchase the freedom of the slaves - right up to the Emancipation Proclamation - claiming it would be much less expensive than the war. These facts are found in any book about the Civil War - really disappointing.

For a rabid Zionist like Kristol, anyone who doesn´t think we should be doing everything possible for "our" beloved Israel - a country we are impalled on - so that thay can wipe Palestine off the map (and get away with it) - is an enemy of America.

HE is the ememy of America...we should deport him to Tev Aviv.

Anonymous said...

Kristol went after Paul because Ron Paul asked What the hell are we doing financing Israel when it can support itself?

If Ron Paul wins, it is the greatest threat to Israel. So watch for Paul to be killed or poisoned. After all, Bush gave Sharon a green light to allow Israeli assassinations of enemies of Israel on US soil. (Google it.)

Bill Kristol the scum of the Earth calling Ron Paul a crackpot?

Zionist Kristol is "un-American." His loylaties. like most dual class citizens is for the state of Israel. He is a bald and two faced liar and a profiteer of the 9-11 debacle!

His attempt to smear Ron Paul will only backfire as Ron Paul's truth speaks to reality.

Kristol was wrong about just about everything he said abour Dr Paul. He is NOT an "isolationist" and saying that he hates his country shows who the true "crackpot" is. A crackpot with an agenda, by the way; to keep that 3+ billion of our tax dollars flowing to Israel every year. Fox news has reached a new low.

In response to Vs comment about the fact that the republic was going to break up and that is why Lincoln went to war. He said Dr. Paul was wrong saying that it was because of slavery. Russert said that not paul. Paul said it was to control the republic. He was right. The bankers were in the North and the Producers were in the south. The money was being made in the South. The south wanted to break from the north because they did not need them. They had all the money in the south. If they didnt have it they would just produce it with there crops etc..
Here is the exact words of Ron Paul and Russerts. Just to clear this up.

MR. RUSSERT: I was intrigued by your comments about Abe Lincoln. "According to Paul, Abe Lincoln should never have gone to war; there were better ways of getting rid of slavery."

REP. PAUL: Absolutely. Six hundred thousand Americans died in a senseless civil war. No, he shouldn't have gone, gone to war. He did this just to enhance and get rid of the original intent of the republic. I mean, it was the--that iron, iron fist..

MR. RUSSERT: We'd still have slavery.

REP. PAUL: Oh, come on, Tim. Slavery was phased out in every other country of the world. And the way I'm advising that it should have been done is do like the British empire did. You, you buy the slaves and release them. How much would that cost compared to killing 600,000 Americans and where it lingered for 100 years? I mean, the hatred and all that existed. So every other major country in the world got rid of slavery without a civil war. I mean, that doesn't sound too radical to me. That sounds like a pretty reasonable approach.

What else would we expect from Beanie Boy--Isreal's #1 pimp!

FOX is a waste of time for anyone who thinks seriously. Just browsing the other posts shows how informed this audience is - not many are convinced by Kristol's version of reality. Just watch the sidebar during the interview: "Dr NO", "Gynocologist" - FOX always sets up the mental frame they want you to absorb. Ron Paul is not ANti-American, he is anti-government intrusion, and that's precisely what Kristol's gang feed off of - government parasitic intrusion which they in turn profit from. Why not just make Israel the 44th state of the union already.

Anonymous said...

Whats the problem? Most Republicans are crackpots or perverts.

"Beanie Boy"? Come on now. I'm Jewish and support Paul, let's not resort to that kind of crap.

Regarding Kristol - It's time to go not so gently into the night. Your horrible perverse game is up. We see you and yours for what they are. Just F*n go now before it's too late for you. Treason is still a crime and there is no statute of limitations for it.

(1) The North didn't "go to war" against the South. The North was ATTACKED and defended itself as the Constitution obligated it to do. (It seems some folks forget who actually started the war.)

(2) Ron Paul is right that the war was not necessary, that slavery could have been ended peacefully. Unfortunately, southern states weren't going to give up their abhorently oppressive labor situation--and all the financial benefit it gave them--without a fight. They'd already spent several centuries spinning a rationale for it (paternalism, negros aren't human, etc) and they were determined to never have to pay for labor again...

How is this guy given a political commetator job?! A retarded 4th grader could give better analysis than him. Speaking out of your ass IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A JOB!!! If somebody paid me everytime I thought I was right I would be a prick too, just like Bill Kristol.

Sortry but think about it, the north were lincioln was located. The North was were Lincoln was and the North attacked the South. The South didnt need the North, the North needed the South.

Ron Paul is an extreme right winger and has no place in today's society. Thank goodness he won't make it anywhere in the election. Most Americans actually like minimum wage laws, anti-trust laws, environmental protections, and the idea of universal health care.

And they'll all love it when the government runs out of money and can no longer provide it for them.

Once a Neo-Con has made up it's mind, facts are but a mere annoyance.

By thinking she would have forced Bush to be impeached, the reality is that most American's put Nancy Pelosi's Dem's in the majority expecting just that. Impeachment. Oh yeah. She waited till the last minute and finally let everyone know that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Even after the William Kristols out there in La-La-Land ,are forcing the public (mainly through the news media ) into a tiny corner, more than informing the people on just what the options are to be.

Ron Paul refuses to give an inch. And so he stands out above all others as the man who really is for the 99% of the people and speaks against big corporate mafia's = 1%. Just because they don't believe in Ron Paul and "poo-poo" the people who do like him, doesn't mean they won't stop trying to get the public to think the media still has a broad following.

Those who want more control and are forcing the weak to stop believing in the strong and patriotic American, they refuse to acknowledge the truth. They cannot hide from the original laws, that's a reality that will never go away.
